Important Tour Information
Our horseback tours take place in the upper region of Monument Valley, just off U.S. Highway 163. Tours are not conducted within Monument Valley Tribal Park, and a Tribal Park entrance fee is not required to access our tours.
Riding Pace & Safety
All guided horseback tours are conducted at a walking pace, with stops along the way for photos, sightseeing, and information from your guide. For the safety of our guests, guides, and horses, we do not allow galloping or running during group tours.

PRICING
30 Minutes $55 per person This ½-mile round-trip trail follows Highway 163 and offers a short introduction to horseback riding in Monument Valley. This 30-minute tour is recommended for beginner and youth riders looking for a brief and enjoyable riding experience. |
1 Hour $75 per person This 3-mile horseback ride takes you through a dry wash and into the high desert plateau just below Eagle Mesa, offering beautiful views of the surrounding landscape. Private tours available for an additional $25 per person. (Private Tours Only Available September- June) |
90 Minutes $95 per person Depending on your riding experience, your tour may take you to the high plateau beneath Eagle Mesa, offering beautiful views of the sandstone mesas and buttes of Monument Pass. Private tours are available for an additional $25 per person. (Private Tours Only Available September- June) |
2 Hours $125 per person This extended 5-mile horseback ride follows Eagle Mesa and takes you through rocky desert terrain beneath Sitting Hen and Sleeping Bear. Private tours are available for an additional $25 per person. (Private Tours Only Available September- June) |

$125 per hour Make your proposal an experience to remember. We can help with the planning so you can focus on the big question. We can connect you with a local professional photographer who can discreetly join your horseback tour. When you are ready to pop the big ‘Q’ the photographer will be ready to capture all the beautiful emotions and moments building up to your next milestone. Professional photography is available at an additional cost. Pricing varies by photographer and services requested. |

We meet on the North side of the KOA Journey Campground by the horse corral.

Arrival
Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled tour time to allow time for check-in, safety instructions, and preparation for your ride. Arriving early helps ensure your tour can begin on time. |
Attire
For your comfort and safety, we recommend wearing long pants and closed-toe shoes or boots suitable for horseback riding. Don't forget a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a light jacket when needed. |
